Contact Ange

Ange Takats has been gathering a steady following in folk festival circles over the past two years but her audience expanded by about a million listeners when Fran Kelly's top rating Breakfast Show on Radio National decided to feature her debut Aniseed Tea as 'Album of the Week'. The Queensland-based folk singer recently took home a prestigious Q Song Award. Her debut album tells stories of knitting, longing and lovely Irishmen.

“One of the great local albums of this year"- Michael Mackenzie, ABC Radio National
"Ange Takats could easily prove to be Australia's answer to Britain's Laura Marling" - The Canberra Times
"Her music manages to combine the songwriting talents reminiscent of Leonard Cohen & Joni Mitchell with a modern
-day fervour and sass" - Musicadium
